Today we picked up this beautiful mid-century buffet, I am going to use for my clothes in our bedroom. I just love the grain of the wood, the detail in the craftsmanship and how unique it is. At one time it was new and someone else love it probably just as much as I do now. That is what is so great about the trend right now, styling with repurposed materials and antiques, not only does it reduce waste, but it allows one person to simplify, while another can appreciate the history behind it.
Having a second chance at life can happen not only for reclaimed materials, but for all of us. At any time, even if we feel we have been discarded… there is always an opportunity for someone else to see your potential, even if that person is yourself! Each day we have a new opportunity to create any kind of life we want, or at least start on the path that will take us there. I am grateful for second chances… third and fourth ones too!
